A short note is plenty.
Three lines and a photo of the back wall will get you a real answer, with a package name and a flat fee attached. Longer is fine too. We have read emails where the measurements arrived in the last paragraph, and we survived.

Six things worth photographing before you hit send
None of it is mandatory. All of it shortens the “what’s this wall doing?” phase. Send what you have; we’ll tell you in one business day what’s still missing.
Every wall, straight on
Stand back, hold the phone level, keep your thumb out of frame. Corners matter more than the view through the window.
Numbers, room by room
Any pen, any paper, any units we can convert. Mark which wall you started on so we can find the other three.
The address
The town decides which building department’s reading habits and which code notes go on the sheets.
A sketch of any quality
Napkins count. An arrow labelled “window?” is welcome, and it will be answered.
Old plans, if they exist
A survey, the last owner’s permit set, a PDF from 1994. Contractors: the folder called “Final_final2” is fine.
Your deadline
A hearing date, a crew arriving Monday, or “whenever.” Just say which. A 48-hour rush is +$150.
Half a kit beats no kit. We’ll build the rest of the list with you.

Open six days. The pencils get Mondays off.
Bar length is hours at the drafting table. Anything that arrives while we’re closed gets read first thing at the next opening.

Most great drawings start with an email that says “not sure if this is enough.” It is.
Sheet 04 · Small questions
Before you write, you might wonder
The big ones live on the services page. These are just about reaching us.
How fast will I hear back?
Within one business day. Something sent Sunday afternoon or on a Monday gets answered on Tuesday morning, with the missing items and the flat fee.
I don’t know which package I need.
Say so. Describe the job in plain words (“taking a wall out,” “adding a deck”) and we’ll name the package and the price. As-builts start at $385, permit sets are $1,175, construction documents start at $2,640.
Can I just walk in?
Paper sketches are welcome in person at 416 Gibbs Pond Rd during open hours. Calling ahead at (631) 813-0085 means someone has cleared the desk.
Is it okay to send forty photos?
It’s encouraged. Straight-on shots of each wall, then whatever else looks odd. Email carries big batches best: info@marlstonedrafting.com.
Does sending a message commit me to anything?
Nope. You get a fee quoted before any drawing starts. Work begins when the first half is paid, not when you hit send.
